How to use CVS Extra care Bucks and 12/29-1/4 Coupon Matchups

Have you ever noticed these things at the bottom of your CVS receipt??

If you just threw them away you should probably smack yourself since you're basically throwing away money *side eye* lol no but really these things are gold in this coupon community

How do they work??

Look in your weekly CVS ad and it'll say something like Buy $10 worth of Nivea products get $5ECBs or like this:

So lets do a sample transaction Huggies are on sale for $9.49, to activate this deal you would need to buy multiple items to equal a total of $15 or more thats BEFORE you use your coupons!!

so lets get a pack of Huggies and the 2/$6 Johnsons Baby lotion

it lists that theres a $1.50 Manufacturers Coupon in the paper for the Huggies
and there is a $1.00 off coupon for Johnson's baby lotion online

so from $9.49 pampers you subtract $1.50= $7.99
from the Johnson's Baby lotion use 2 of the $1.00 off coupons= 2/$4

ok now your total is $11.99 and when you ring everything up you get $5ECB!! save this to do your next transactions so you can roll them to get more ECBs

for example same deal but you had $5ECBs to start with, you could give them $5 you would pay $5.99 total and get $5 ECB back

Great Deal!!

Keep those ECB rolling to get great deals make sure you sign up for an Extra Care Card at CVS

So you want to be a Coupon Queen/King?

So you want to be a Couponer like those crazy people on Extreme Couponers???
Getting those amazing deals where you can get things for next to nothing or even better when the store pays you???

Lets get started!!!!

What do I need first?

First you need to get organized!
Theres nothing worse than walking around with no plan and coupons just thrown in an envelope so get a good coupon binder, with the base ball card inserts to put them in. I recommend amazon to get your binder and card holders because you can get it super cheap, but if you're in a rush wal-mart always works too.

Ok! we're organized....Right

Join the rewards clubs at your local stores
CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Giant, Kroger, Food Lion, etc.
Most of them you can join online, believe me they are worth it!!

Invest in a good Printer!!!
most of the coupons that I use are internet printables and the money i save in products pretty much makes getting ink free.
I use a Kodak printer, and Kodak ink is pretty cheap a combined pack of black and color costs about $30,
but any printer will do. But if you're gonna go buy one
I suggest getting an HP printer because you can print from your smartphones and tablets as well!!!

Now that thats all out the way can we just start couponing?????

Not just yet!

what really makes a good couponer or better yet a smart couponer is to print out all of the stores you shop at Coupon Policies!
I mean this is vital when it comes to this, you're going to run into alot of people that work at places *cough* Walmart
that are going to try and tell you what you can do and what you can't do with your coupons but as long as you're following the policy they have to accept what you have. Stand firm in this, most managers don't even know their own policy so make sure you know it!! or at least have a copy of it.

A little more info and we'll get there together.
How many coupons can I use on a single product?
Ok this is how you get those awesome Extreme coupon deals

types of Coupons:

Manufacturers Coupons

Store Coupon

ok so we have one Manufacturer coupon and one store coupon. You can use both! for a total of $3.50 off a pack of huggies.
What makes the deal even better is if that same product is on sale at the store you are buying from

Scenario #1
Huggies retail for 15.99 normally but
on sale at Target for $8.99
use Store coupon knock you down to $7.49
then use the manufacturer coupon to make your final price $5.49 plus tax!

If you have multiple coupons then do the deal as many times as you want as long as you have more of the same coupons (CANNOT BE PHOTOCOPIED) <--that is a federal offense of fraud

You can NOT use 2 Manufacturers coupons on the same product.

Are we almost ready?!?!

YES!!!! lets do this!

Places to get coupons.....
Sunday papers (rule for me i get one paper per person in my household)
there are 3 of us in my house so I normally get 3. The amount of inserts differ from the weeks but the normal coupon inserts come from
P&G (Tide, febreeze, Cover Girl etc. companies)
Smart Source
Red Plum

Coupons.com! I love them so much!
the only bad thing is there is a limit, you can only print 2 coupons per item
(ex. $1.00 off Dove, you print this coupon twice, now you'll get a message on that specific coupon that says Print limit reached) but if you have multiple computers or devices you can print from them as well
Smartsource.com (same rules)
Couponnetwork.com (same rules)
Redplum.com (same rules)

another avenue would be to physically go to your favorite products sites and see if they offer any coupons
Example: your favorite cereals website will most likely have coupons that you can print or that they will mail to you so sign up!!!

HOW TO GET ALOT OF THE SAME COUPON!!
Ebay and Instagram (#couponcommunity is a great and helpful hashtag to use on IG to find the most current deals people are getting)

are an awesome way to get multiple coupons of the same products or even multiple sunday paper inserts if you're only going to take the inserts out and throw the paper away like I do.

for example I ordered 10 P&G inserts from ebay that costed me $7.00 including shipping
which is an awesome deal considering that 1 Sunday paper costs $2.00 so now instead of paying $6.00 for 3 papers and 3 P&G inserts. I just paid $7 for 10 inserts!!

If you know when a deal is about to happen thats a good time to order your coupons
example: Huggies wipes 56 count retail for $1.97 at walmart
most people sell their "clipping service" through Paypal and they range in price from a couple cents to a couple dollars. But If you're getting the product free it's totally worth it

anyways there was a coupon for $2.00 off per pack of wipes!
I ordered 43 coupons that costed me $6.00 (they were PDF coupons so they were emailed to me all I had to do was print and go!)
ended up only paying $3.01 (the tax) for 43 packs of wipes!!!

A lot of the stores you shop at also have printable coupons on their websites that are available to you
example is Target, they have awesome coupons that you can print off their website.

WEEKLY MATCHUPS!!

Matchups are awesome it saves you alot of time from having to search and search anddddd search for awesome deals.

I'll try my best to keep weekly matchups for nationwide stores, what coupons to use with each deal and where to find them

STAY Tuned!!!

Jas <3

Ask me anything you want :)

Here is a coupon database below so you can search for specific coupons for the deals I list :)
